On Anzac Day at KGV, Glenorchy Knights and Southern FC competed for the RSL Anzac Cup proudly sponsored by the Tasmanian RSL and supported by the Glenorchy RSL. Glenorchy Knights hold this event each year to help the local Tasmanian football community commemorate and recognize the courage and spirit of the ANZACS. Wreaths were laid by Presidents of both clubs and the Chief Executive Officer of Football Federation Tasmania, Mike Palmer. Thanks to Paul Woodham for coordinating and to Orbit Lighting Sorell for sponsoring the Womens RSL Sprint. This was run at half-time and won by Bonnie Davies of Olympia Warriors FC and the mens sprint was won by Braydon Blackaby from Metro Claremont FC. Glenorchy Knights had a successful day taking out the Challenge League game v Kingborough 9-2, Championshp 1 v Southern FC 3-1 and Championship v Southern FC 8-0. Mathew Nowicki was awarded the Best Player and Dennis Madexx from Southern FC the Most Courageous player. At the end of the game the Knights were presented with the Anzac Day Cup by Michael Furjanic.
